Introducing Becky

A few months ago, going on a cruise was pretty much a pipe dream. I've wanted to go on a cruise for a long time, but finding someone to go along with me was proving to be difficult. One day while at work, Becky told me she had received a pamphlet from one of our customers (a travel agent) that was advertising a cruise. It looked like a really fun trip with a lot of interesting ports. The dates of the advertised cruise wouldn't work for us because of work obligations (Alzeheimer's Memory Walk and the DNA Lifeprint event), but always resourceful, we discovered that the same cruise leaves every week from the same port. We compared calendars and picked a date. Voila! At the time, October 18th seemed like a LONG way in the distance, but now, it's tomorrow!

So, who is Becky? I'm glad you asked. Becky is the Sales Manager at Saturn of Western Hills. She has been with the company for almost 10 years. (At which time, Tom, she will earn more vacation days!) Not only does she keep the place running smoothly, but as a life-long "west-sider", she has a passion for community events. I have known her for about 5 years, and during that time she has managed to get me more involved in her events, too. (Imagine that!). In addition to everything she does at work, she is also a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 2.

My intention was to include a picture of Becky with this post, but since it's after 11pm and we have a flight to catch in about 7 hrs, there will be no pictures tonight. Instead, I will include a short question/answer session with Becky. Keep in mind, I'm not an investigative reporter. Here we go.

Q: What are you most looking forward to on this cruise?
A: Relaxation and no work.

Q: What are you going to miss the most while you are gone?
A: My family.

Q: How long did you spend packing?
A: 90 minutes. (That's a new world record, folks)

Q: What is your favorite song?
A: "I can only imagine" by Mercy Me.

Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Pasta of any kind

Q: What is your favorite vegetable?
A: (I threw this in as a trick question. She doesn't eat vegetables)

Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: Australia

Q: What is the one thing about yourself that you want our blog readers to know?
A: "I'm ready to have a little fun."

Well, it's lights out for us. We have a VERY early (for me) wake up call. Instead of days, we're now counting hours, and at this point, it's about 12 more until we board. Can I get a woot-woot???

Until tomorrow.
